And then one day the it-bag craze ended and the Paddington and Silverado slowly left our minds. So earlier this week when Amanda and I saw the Chloe Silverado pop up on Saks, it caused double and triple takes. Welcome back Silverado, not sure how much we missed you or wanted you back in our life, but you have arrived.

Amanda covered the leather Silverado and I’m bringing you the python version. Not much to report that hasn’t been covered before, other than this version is made with python skin. The price, relatively speaking, is not that absurd for a python bag.

Hold on to your hats, ladies, it’s time to get into the Handbags Fashion Blog wayback machine and take a trip to 2005. The world economy is still humming along, I’m still in college, and It Replica Bags rule the world – none more so than the Chloé Paddington. In its wake, however, was another bag that the brand managed to convince a lot of women that they wanted – the Chloé Silverado.

I haven’t seen or thought of a Silverado since approximately 2007, although I don’t know when the brand handbags officially stopped making the model. Not that it matters now, however, because the bag is back, presumably to remind us all of the need to keep searching for the next must-have accessory. I don’t know about you, but that’s just not a message of which I’d like to be reminded.

The Silverado, always the Paddington’s second banana, was just never a good enough bag to make a comeback necessary. Sure, it had some python iterations that looked pretty nice, but it didn’t have the design flourishes that really made stars out of bags from that era – the Paddington’s lock or the Fendi Spy’s secret compartment and thorny woven handles, for example. The Silverado is a leather satchel with a lot of whipstitching, which is all well and good, but doesn’t merit a special comeback in the average brown shade that we see here.

I don’t remember how much a Silverado went for back in the day, so I can’t say if they’ve raised the price or not, but if they did it probably wasn’t by much. That’s nice, but the fashon bag just doesn’t seem current or interesting anymore, particularly considering the tailored midcentury looks that showed up on the recent global runways – would any of you consider buying this bag?

It is sometimes hard to believe that Halston’s ticket to fame came when the company’s founder, Roy Halston Frowick, designed the pillbox hat Jacqueline Kennedy wore to her husband’s 1961 presidential inauguration. The company today, with London-based designer Marios Schwab currently holding the creative reins, is most famous for its sensual dresses and simple, yet chic handbag designs. Many fashionistas find themselves longing for the effortless glamor that only Halston can deliver. Unfortunately, most Halston pieces lie far beyond the reach of an average gal’s budget.

But not to worry ladies! In case you haven’t already heard, this legendary label just recently launched a diffusion line. Introducing Halston Heritage! It is through this line that the company will be reinventing some of its archive pieces and marketing them at a lower price point. Wait… the effortlessly elegant silhouettes of Halston at prices we all can afford? Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me!

So what are my favorite pieces so far? I absolutely love the Metallic Night Shoulder Bag and Sequined Evening Frame Clutch  that you see pictured here!

Both are just so lovely and perfect for an evening out! I really love how these simple designs were paired with some sort of sparkly adornment. So pretty!

This Carlos Falchi Doctor Bag doesn’t have nearly the same structured silhouette that I’m used to seeing from other bags in the same style category. However, this large version of Falchi’s signature doctor bag design is luxury at its best.

Although it has a nearly identical shape to the patent leather version of the designer’s doctor bag style, the similarities between these two Carlos Falchi handbags end there. Instead of the surprising price of $595 for the patent leather option, this large doctor bag in anaconda retails for a whopping, though perhaps not completely shocking, $2,850.

I’m not blown over by sticker shock since we’re talking about true snakeskin leather here with all of the quality and fabulous texture you can only get with the real thing, but it would still take quite a chunk out of a shopping budget. This large anaconda doctor bag is also available with a shiny skin, but personally I think that the matte appearance allows the texture to shine on its own.

The double handles have a nice drop to them making it comfortable to carry this decently sized satchel. Something about the slightly spiky feel of anaconda on my shoulder makes me cringe just a bit, but I’m guessing that might be the last thing on anyone’s mind when toting around this fabulous designer handbag.v

See By Chloe Strappy Shoulder Bag | Sophisticated Retro Black And Blush Handbag

I have always loved the combination of black and nude, especially when it’s a soft blushy nude, especially when it’s on a bag made of leather, and most especially when that replica bag is made by Chloe. When you combine it with the retro flair and everyday practicality of a shoulder bag like this one, I’m basically in love.

The contrast between the distressed black patent of the body of the fashioin bag and the smooth nude leather of the straps creates a sophisticated vibe on what would otherwise be a very rock-n-roll flavored accessory. The minimal pleating on the front pockets adds volume, and the rectangular shape with the smoothed-off edges gives the bag a retro look that is reminiscent of some of my favorite vintage 80’s accessories.

The combination of the dual straps with the removable shoulder straps gives you options for how to wear the bag. I can see it as a very feminine touch held by hand, or slung low over your shoulder for a more casual look. The 16″ x 10″ x 6″ size makes it a great everyday bag that will hold not just the essentials, but also more than a few extras.

There isn’t much I don’t like about this Strappy Shoulder Bag by Chloe, including the adorable front pockets. The contrasting horizontal stripe across the bag allows them to blend in, and creates another interesting focal point on an already fabulous bag. At $665, it is a more than reasonable investment for a super-fashionable everyday bag.

is a label that seems to be in a constant state of self re-invention. And as such, they are often bring us fresh new takes on old styles, retro reconfigured and reconstructed for a new era.

I guess you could call the Andy Tote a reimagining of 80’s preppy chic. The boxy shape and crisp design harken back to the days of dock shoes and pegged pants. The colors are somewhat refreshed, not your typical nautical white and navy, but something that has a nautical feel nonetheless.

The only thing about doing a re-make of preppy styles is that you can’t take them too far over the top, or else they just aren’t preppy anymore. So, the Andy Tote, despite its subtle revisions, still looks to me like an 80’s preppy bag. So the the question I have to ask is: what’s the point?

The bag is cute, but honestly, it looks like I could buy from L.L. Bean for under a hundred bucks, maybe $125 with monogramming. The canvas is sturdy and the bag well designed, but this is a $1,375 replica handbag, and I simply think that it is not worth the price.

I really like the easy chic appeal of the fashion bag, and the zip around bottom. It has well-placed outer pockets on each side, and is easy to get into with the full zip top. The dual rolled leather handles are comfortable, and there is no irritatingly large logo to contend with the clean lines of the tote. I also think the small logo charms attached to the zipper pulls are a smart method of branding, subtle, but memorable. But despite all its good attributes, I just think this replica  bag costs too much money, and unless you have a lot extra laying around, it just isn’t the most remarkable way to spend almost $1,400.

Chloe Marci Hobo Bag | Large Horseshoe Accented Slouchy Calfskin Purse

Traditionally slouchy and boho chic, the Marci hobo from Chloe bucks the trend with some equestrian flair.

The preppy riding school feel comes from the large horseshoe shapes stitched into the front of the Marci. The curves accentuate the bag’s lovely lines, and might just bring a little luck your way! The horseshoes also help to hide the front pocket, so you get practical perks without the style drawbacks.

The single shoulder strap is wrapped in leather for a little extra style. It’s not very long, but the top of the bag slouches down so low that you can still easily carry the Marci over your shoulder.

The vermillion red calfskin may scream a little too loudly for some, but I think it’d really pop against gray winter days and dark trench coats. It’s a shame there are no other color choices for conservative types though.

The Marci isn’t in stores yet, but I’d get my pre-order in if I were you. Hilary Duff’s already been spotted carrying it in Gossip Girl, so demand is bound to be as big as this bag!

Chloe Polka Dots Bag | Playful Bow Embellished Khaki Leather Shoulder Bag

Chloe bag is usually one of my tip-top favorite lines. But, lately, I just haven’t been blown away from what it has to offer. Maybe I’m missing something, but personally, I think its fall line of accessories is, well, missing something.

Chloe Bags like this are exactly what I’m talking about. Am I crazy, or does this bag have a scarf? Does it need a scarf? Does it even look good? I’m not so sure.

The Chloe bag itself is fine, I guess, but for $1,405, I want more than fine. The color is a little drab, and without the bow, the fashion bag is just plain and not a little boring.

I do like the unusually-shaped hardware, though, that connects the straps to the replica bag. And I’m all for a minimal style; I just think this one takes minimal a little far.
