Versace bag

Posted Monday, May 24th, 2010

Versace never ceases to surprise us with their different styles and designs of bags, so does this bag. This Versace bag in light color surely becomes a hit for you.

Made from finely woven jacquard with grained metallic leather trim and the signature Greek key pattern, this bag will cost you $1,590. It also has polished gold metal hardware, pleated detail on either side, a flat leather shoulder strap with link attachments, and of course, the gold metal and acrylic Medusa plaque at the center front. The zip top opening will also lead you to a fine textile lining, with interior patch, cell phone and zipped pockets.

This Versace bag brings elegance in a different twist of simplicity, and is perfect for daywear or even while hanging out in a bar. Its ivory color is also versatile enough to match with any clothes you wish to wear.

Want to be in a modern edge on your look? This biker-inspired Leather Flap Hobo from Versace can meet your demand. Its feminine glam is evident in its intense shading.

It is made of matte and patent leather in lipstick red color, which truly makes it very feminine and classy despite the rather tough biker look. It would also make of a great bag as you discreetly flirt with the opposite sex, while of course, showing that you’re not just any other sweet girl in town. The sophistication is also present, so having this would really give that ultimate appeal on your totality. The oversized hardware logo on the flap closure all the more shows its overall theme, coming in a combination of gold and red.

It has two front snap pockets on the exterior, and opening the zip fastening of the main compartment would show additional zip and open pockets that are sitting on the silk lining. This hobo bag measures about 14 x 9 x 6 inches so it shouldn’t be that hard to carry through its shoulder strap of 7? inches drop.

With all the given characteristics that this Versace Leather Flap Hobo has, it wouldn’t be surprising to know that it retails for $2,470. If you really want to show the toughness in you, pairing it with your wet-look leggings with matching rider boots would already get you on the go

Kate Moss and Gisele Bundchen Model for Versace’s Spring Summer 2009 Collection

has brought out the big guns for their Spring/Summer 2009 advertising campaign. Kate Moss stars in this eye-catching commercial, while Gisele Bundchen graces another.

With all that supermodel style, photographer Mario Testino had his work cut out for him. Yet he delivers, making the haute couture clothes and to-die-for handbags the stars of these stunning prints.

I’m not a fan of Kate’s fussy heart-accented dress, but that lustworthy clutch is another matter entirely. The black snakeskin exterior is so sexy, and its hard shell screams vintage sophistication.

All the commercials follow the nautical theme, with the blonde beauties posing on luxury yachts in the middle of that sparkling sea. A model’s life sounds like hard work, doesn’t it? The range uses basic black and white shades, but as you can guess from this heart-detailed dress the classic colors are far from conservative!

The advertisements appear in the current issue of Vanity Fair, with more fashion mags to follow soon.

;Versace Soft Madonna Boston Bag | Beige Woven Metallic Leather Strappy Handbag

When I first saw this Versace Soft Madonna Boston bag, my immediate thoughts were, “Um, what exactly is going on here?” I’m not trying to be a smartass or anything, but seriously, I just didn’t get it. Then I tried to figure it out, and came to the initial conclusion that the replica bag was made of seatbelts. Oops.

So, if it wasn’t already obvious to you, this fashion bag is not made out of seatbelts. It is made out of leather, even the straps. And although my first response was one of confused horror, since then the luxurious bag has grown on me a bit. I’m pretty sure that it won’t be the It bag of any season, but there’s a woman out there to love this fashion bag.

The woven leather material is soft and luxurious, and the metallic strands add a touch of glimmer. The straps give what is already an unusually shaped bag a central focal point. The layered look is interesting. I feel like it might be more successful in a different color, as the fleshy beige makes all those straps look just a bit creepy.

The handle has a sort of covered steering wheel look that made it sensible for me to assume that the rest of the leather bag was made of seatbelts. Right? I think the handle might work on something more minimal, but here, it’s just another distracting detail to add to the rest. While I can’t say that I hate this women’s bag, it does have a sort of bizarre charm, I’m just not exactly sure who it’s right for or what they might wear it with.

Versace Metallic Purse

Versace Metallic Purse

It’s been quite some time since somebody has mentioned Versace around here; as a matter of fact, talk over the luxury brand has been pretty calm. What has Versace headquarters been up to? Or more like, why haven’t I kept up with them. I’m not too fond of the designer brand, I mean, they’re Versace, so I applaud them, but other than that, the brand has never done much for my likings.

One of their latest releases for the Fall/Winter Collection is the Logo-Trim Metallic Shoulder Bag. Once I spotted this handbag, I wasn’t surprised at its appearance; actually, it was just what I expected out of Versace. As usual, there’s logo designs, chains, oversized studs, and lots and lots of gold… everywhere! Coated canvas and pvc makes up this handbag and that’ll be a slight difference to the designers popular choice of stiff sheer leather. I could work with coated canvas, it’s quite durable actually, but even if I was to consider this handbag, I dislike its silhouette so badly. Its trapezoidal figure isn’t too pleasant, plus it looks really uncomfortable as well.

This Versace bag retails for $1370, and would make a great addition to the girl who isn’t afraid of a lot of bling.

Gisele Bundchen for Versace’s Fall/Winter Ad Campaign | Models Bags and Apparel With No Baby Bump in Sight

Well, it might not be the most original fashion bags advertisement campaign, but any ad involving Gisele Bundchen could probably convince handbags shoppers to buy a paper sack dress.

This is by no means the supermodel’s first appearance for Versace Bag. Before the fall/winter 09 photo shoot, her most recent work for the label was this past spring for the season’s campaign. The major difference between the two handbags ads, other than completely different fashion, is that Gisele is reportedly sporting a baby bump these days.

Well, you’d never guess it from this campaign, where either the ads were shot before said bump appeared or some tricky work was done on the pictures. Also, the fact that she’s facing the wall in this particular shot probably helps a bit.

Pregnancy rumors aside, however, I happen to love the pocketbook style clutch that the supermodel is holding in this ad from the label’s fall campaign. Personally, I could take or leave the neck-breaking stilettos, but they do look pretty fabulous as well.

Overall, it’s not the most creative photo shoot I’ve seen and not one of Gisele’s best, in my opinion. However, Versace handbags is Versace handbags, after all, and always at least worth a look.

Versace’s “New Couture” Bag

I’m usually one for only satchel like fashion handbags. In fact, most of my favorite handbags are satchels from Michael Kors and Louis Vuitton. I’ve never been one to like shoulder bags. For some reason, they always seemed to hurt or fall off my shoulder. My shoulder may be in trouble though, because I’ve been drooling over lots of shoulder bag lately.

Versace-Handbags

One of the shoulder bags that I’m in love with is the Versace “New Couture” Leather hobo. This handbag is stunning, and kind of reminds me of the discontinued “Griet” bag. I always loved the “Griet”, but I couldn’t purchase it at the time. Now the “Griet” is sold out world wide, and it’s so great to see a bag that kind of resembles it.

I love the quilted leather, and snap-tab closure featured on the bag. Even the gold hardware goes amazing with the white leather. I think this would make such a beautiful replica handbag to use in the Spring. White handbags do take a lot of work to keep clean, but when a bag is this beautiful it may be worth the extra maintenance.

If you don’t like this replica handbag in white, or you’re just simply scared to spend that much money on a luxury handbag that could get dirty never fear because it also comes in black and green. I personally don’t like the green color at all, but the black is stunning. In all honesty, this handbag probably looks more beautiful in black than white. The price is extremely high, so it’s probably better to purchase this bag in black anyways. To spend thousands on a bag that may get filthy isn’t worth it. Well at least to me it isn’t.

The Versace “New Couture” Leather Hobo can be purchased at Nordstrom. The bag is stunning, but I think the price is way too high for it. If I’m going to spend that much on a bag, I’d probably put it towards an Hermes “Birkin“. A “Birkin” costs much more than that, but it would be a good amount to start a “bag fund” with.

Versace Luxury Handbag Closes Doors in Osaka, Tokyo, and Chiba

Versace-Handbag-StoreOnce Asia’s luxury shopping epicentre, Japan seems to be losing its taste for luxury handbags brand. Last year LVMH decided to can plans for a new Louis Vuitton flagship store in Tokyo’s Ginza shopping district. Now Versace has gone a step further, announcing it plans to shut down its Japanese stores. The luxury fashion label currently has outlets in Osaka, Tokyo, and Chiba.

A statement from the company says that Versace’s Japanese boutiques “no longer represented the brand image and it was felt to be more advantageous for the company to close them and start with a clean slate.”
Experts say the Japanese are following world trends for discreet luxury, without the logos and obvious branding of many mass-marketed lines. Instead, the new breed of Japanese stylistas prefer to mix and match outfits with high and low-end fashion handbags items. Whatever the reason behind the shift, it’s bad news for a fashion industry already struggling in the face of the financial crisis.

Versace Store Cuts Jobs-Designer Label’s Financial Woes Continue

Versace-StoreThings seem to be going from bad to worse for European designer label Versace. Not even a month after the brand announced the closure of its Japanese stores comes news that 350 jobs will be cut.

The positions will be cut from Versace’s handbags  international talent pool by the middle of next year. Just like the closure of the Japanese stores, the measure is part of the cost-cutting initiatives essential for the brand to stay afloat during the financial crisis.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Versace replica  is expected to lose €30 million before tax on a revenue of €273 million. Compare this to the brand’s €9 million profit on sales of €336 million just 12 months before.

The good news for fashion fans is that Versace handbags  remains committed to new runway designs. It will trim the fat in the areas of production, distribution, and logistics. Whatever steps the label takes, I hope they’re enough to help it weather the financial storm.

I make a lot of fun of Versace, and it’s for a lot of good reasons. They make largely unattractive handbags in weird shapes and with odd stuff stuck to them, and then they charge prices so high that they verge on insulting. They’re not a brand that’s famous for their quality handbags, nor are they widely carried by tastemakers or celebrities, so it’s hard to say why they think they can get away with such ridiculous designs and pricing. They end up in the sale section a lot.

Versace Croc Embossed Satchel

And maybe, just maybe, someone at Versace has been paying attention, because the Versace Croc Embossed Satchel is decidedly unoffensive. It’s not the best bag I’ve ever seen, but it has a structure that subscribes subtly to the recent origami bag trend without being unnecessarily complicated. The structure is classic Versace, but it lacks the obvious, gaudy branding and enormous, shiny gold hardware that have characterized so many of the brand’s less-successful bag ideas. The color is gorgeous, as is the variation of the croc-stamped leather, and it all comes together in a reasonable, tasteful way. The best part, though, is the price. It’s still too high, but compared to some of the brand’s recent price points, it’s fairly unoffensive. Buy through Nordstrom for $1770.
