Each year, Breitling creates a unique Replica Watches piece named Bentley Masterpiece: a mechanical magnum opus combining tradition, performances and the finest craftsmanship. In tribute to Walter Owen Bentley, the cover of the 18-carat yellow gold case is adorned with an engraving depicting him at the wheel of one of his racing models. This portrait is accompanied by the famous “W.O.” initials by which the engineers and craftsmen of the British firm – like all devotees of fine automobiles – still refer to the revered founder of Bentley.

In the past, Breitling’s unique pocket Replica Watches have been sold at auction or to private clients at prices in the $250, 000 to $300,000 range.

Breitling has announced a new model in the Avenger line: the Blacksteel Chrono. This new chronograph brings some interesting new technology — as well as a great new look — to the dive-chronograph market.

The Blacksteel Chrono’s pushers use a magnetic system to active the chronograph features rather than relying on a physical connection between the pusher and the chronograph system inside the watch. This magnetic magic allows the chronograph to be functional to a maximum depth of 1000m — a considerable innovation as very few chronographs can be used while submerged, let alone at 1000m (a record now held by Breitling).

Breitling is powering the the Blacksteel Chrono with its SuperQuartz movement (Breitling 73 – COSC certified) which is ten times as accurate as traditional quartz moments. The blackened steel and red on black dial design is a refreshing change of pace compared to the somewhat flashy styles Breitling normally produces. This 45.5mm Breitling comes fitted with a sapphire crystal and a rubber strap, and is limited to 2,000 pieces.

The case is crafted from stainless steel, pink gold or white gold, depending on each customer’s personal taste. The dial uses an off-centered sub-dial at the 6 o’clock, while the main dial is located at the upper side of the dial. The dial provides the traditional functions of hours, minutes and seconds, along with displaying a date window at the 12 o’clock position. Depending on the strap choice, the dial employs the same color as to create a unitary appearance. Usually the pink gold version comes on a brown alligator strap, while the stainless steel and the white gold versions come on hand-sewn blue alligator leather, matching the blue colored parts of the dial in terms of color.

This Breitling watch also comes with a non screw-locked crown with three gaskets, screwed in back, unidirectional bezel, and sapphire as well as glareproofed on both sides.

Branded as Breitling’s “feminine version of time” the Breitling Cockpit Lady Watch holds technical specifications that allow it to play with the big boys. We’ve talked about this Breitling watch at the Breitling Watch Blog before, but we haven’t really gone deep into the watch’s technical background.

When Breitling designed the Breitling Cockpit Lady watch for the Breitling Windrider Collection, balance was a large aspect of the planning. Breitling wanted a women’s watch that was able to perform yet look elegant and remain reliable. Even though they made it look easy, sometimes designing a women’s watch with all the techs of a bulky man’s watch is not easy. Every aspect of the Breitling watch screams femininity, sleekness, and variety by using dial colors, straps, bracelets, and materials.

The Breitling Cockpit Lady Watch includes a Breitling 71 caliber, SuperQuartz movement, EOL indicator, and a thermo-compensated quartz electronic movement. The calendar of the Breitling watch is a dial aperture and the case of the Breitling Cockpit Lady includes a variety of materials including steel, two-tone, steel & gold, or 18k rose gold. The Breitling cockpit Lady Watch includes 100 m of water resistance paired with an un-directional yet ratcheted bezel and a non screw-locked crown with three gaskets. Measuring at a petite 31.80 mm in diameter, the Breitling Lady Cockpit has a screwed in back and cambered glareproofed sapphire crystal on both sides.

As with the variety of cases, the straps and bracelets come in a variety of colors as well. First is the Breitling Pilot Bracelet, which similar to the cases, come in steel, two-tone, or 18k rose gold. If a strap is chosen, the wearer has the choice of pairing the Breitling Cockpit Lady watch with either a leather strap in blue, black, gold or brown; a crocodile strap in either black or gold; a lizard strap in either yellow, brown, green, red, blue, black, orange, pink or navy blue; or a Diver Pro strap in either blue or black.

Last week we started discussing the Breitling Chronomat luxury watch and its new facelift. The new watch is called the Breitling Chronomat B01 and it introduces for the 1st time its own 100% in-house chronograph movement.

Luxury: It wouldn’t be a luxury watch without luxurious beginnings. The Chronomat B01 was created by Breitling in the Breitling Chronmetrie workshops in La Chaux-de-Fonds.
