Two companies striving for beauty and mechanical perfection have teamed up for an event unlike no other. For the first time, supercar manufacturers Lamborghini is organizing a race featuring only the Gallardo LP560-4. The cars will sport the colors and design of Swiss watchmasters Blancpain and to commemorate this event, the Blancpain Super Trofeo Chronograph was released. It will feature a 43.5 mm case inspired by the Gallardo’s aggressive design. Made of steel with diamond-like carbon treatment, the case is tougher than PVD and will be hypoallergenic, perfect for those with sensitive skin. Movement comes from Blancpain’s own Calibre F185, with the movement bridges and main plate blackened to increase the longevity of the watch as well as give a mysterious look. On the face are the hour, minute, and small seconds chronograph with the 9 and 12 o’clock markers sporting the same numbers painted on the racing Gallardos. Only 300 of these mechanical bulls will be made. $TBA.
