oh!My God! I want to eat!
Imagine someone going to court to beg for protection against Paris Hilton! Well, surprises like that do happen in Los Angeles, and one of them occurred last Wednesday. TMZ managed to procure documents containing different accusations against Paris and demanding the issue of a restraining order.
The plaintiff, a man named Ramiro Benitez, unfortunately possessed of an undecipherable hand, accuses Hilton of numerous threats to assault him “both sexually, physically and financially”.
According to Benitez, it all began with a truculent telephone conversation as far back as 1997 and Paris has been keeping it up ever since, her manners growing more and more violent. Benitez says he is afraid not only for himself but also for his teenage son and seven-year-old niece.
The persecuted fellow requests the court order the vicious beauty to stay 100 yards away from him, his car, and the places he haunts.
Good news, everyone – it’s cool to be an uptight, rich plutocrat again! Adjust accordingly.
Really, where would those ideals be more appropriately on display than at the Christian Dior Haute Couture show this week in Paris? John Galliano styled his Cruella-meets-English-nobility show with riding crops and streaks of Bride of Frankenstein grey hair, and although I didn’t adore this collection as much as I did the lingerie-as-outerwear show from six months ago, I couldn’t help but smile. Haute Couture Week is like getting a big, beaded, sparkly fashion hug.
This bags collection is kind of brilliant in that the people that actually will have enough money to buy it have probably been rich for so many generations that they may not see it as at all interesting or subversive – it’s merely retro! It’s like what grandmother wore when she rode out to meet grandfather after his fox hunts! And people apparently still do that sort of stuff, according to a fantastically wealthy girl that lived on my hall during my freshman year of college. Really, it’s weird to ask an 18-year-old chick what she’s doing for the weekend and hear her say, without a trace if irony, that she’s going to her family’s estate for the traditional fall hunt.
Anyway, that’s not what we’re talking about here. We’re talking about couture! Sadly, I mostly preferred the stiff-upper-lip styling and and equestrian touches to the actual clothes, although there were a few pieces that were absolute standouts. The lightly colored lace dresses, the red and grey color schemes that reminded me of the cinematography in Inglourious Basterds, and the tuxedo redux ruffled ballgown were all enough to transport me entirely to the land of Galliano’s couture vision.
It seems Paris Hilton likes to spend time in Japan. First it was handbags promotion with her sister, then she accompanied her ex-boyfriend Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden in his tour. Now Paris is hooking up with Doug Reinhardt. Last week Paris and Doug arrived at Tokyo’s Narita International Airport.
Promotional princess have some business talks in Japan and, of course, a couple of talk show appearances. Paris says they are “just friends” with Doug. Even walking through terminal she kept quite a distance from him.

Well, it seems Paris and Dough are joined at the hip – the couple has been always together during recent weeks.
Fergie and the rest of the Black Eyed Peas made an appearance at the Paris Menswear Fashion Week’s Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2010 show at Le 104 on Thursday, June 25th. The only way to attend a designer show is decked out in their items from head to toe. Fergie had on the most amazing outfit from the Fall 2009 Louis Vuitton collection. Her dress was amazing, but her accessories topped the outfit off so perfectly that I cannot stop staring. This is why Fergie makes our weekend obsession list, as our love of the Louis Vuitton Satin Plisse Matelasse and the Louis Vuitton Cancan Shoes is taken to a new level.
After Vlad and Shannon gave us a preview of the LV Fall 2009 line, I have been having a LV itch for the Louis Vuitton Satin Plisse Matelasse. Now I am obsessed. This clutch is similar to the Limelight that everyone went nuts over, but it takes it to a new level, adding studs, a color combo, and satin and leather combo as well. The extraordinary Louis Vuitton Cancan Shoes will cost around $1350 while the Louis Vuitton Satin Plisse Matelasse will cost $2,575.
